DARRIN PEDAL CAR
« on: January 18, 2018, 06:54:58 PM »
To those than own one of these unfinished fiberglass shells..

any interest in acquiring brass castings that represent all the chrome items on a full size Darrin, i.e., bumpers, windshield stanchions, handles, grill?

The Darrin "Pedal" car is not a pedal car, it is a coaster car from all the research I have done.

I have the windshield fitted along with the mirrors, bumpers, license plates (courtesy of Wheaties boxes in 1954) and in the last picture, my interior.   I made a fiberglass drop-in and separate base for the seat cushion (it set in and pulls out quite nicely).   It is ready for painting of the Body.

The frame is a piece of plywood fitted with steering and wheels with wire hubcaps and ww tires.
