Personally I would NOT use multi-purpose chassis lube on wheel bearings. Use a grease that says it's for wheel bearings. Being drum brakes, they do not require the super high temp wheel bearing grease unless you just want to use that premium grease. But use a grease specifically made for wheel bearings. I doubt if you can find the old style "fibrous" drum brake wheel bearing grease anymore, but a standard grade grease that indicates drum/disc should be more than adequate for the drum brake wheel bearings.
And, for what it's worth, I use the same grease on the rear axle bearings on Dana-style rear axles that use tapered rollers that have to be greased.
