Newly acquired '53 Dragon - Very Excited :-)
« on: January 01, 2017, 07:46:01 AM »
Note: None of the photos  attached so I’m posting this again with just a link to the photos…
-----------------------------------
Hi Gang...

I  picked up a beautiful 1953 Dragon from Bill Siereveld yesterday.  Bill and his wife Mary Jane have owned the car since 1989 and are the nicest folks.  I'm honored to be able to buy such a nice car from these great individuals and plan to visit them with the Dragon in the near future (they are just  about an hour from my house in Tampa, Florida).

Below is a link to many photos - myself with Bill Siereveld and some friends I stopped by to share my excitement along the way.  Two of the folks in some of the photos are Merrill Powell (co-founder of Victress Manufacturing who built some of the most beautiful sports cars of the 1950's) and George Dammann, author and previous owner of Crestline Publishing which published amazing car books in the 1980s and 1990s.

I dropped the car off late yesterday for a thorough "going over" to a mechanic friend and want to have fun driving this car and sharing the history across Tampa, Florida soon.  So if you're  heading to Tampa, Florida drop me a line.  I'd enjoy meeting more folks who are in our club.  And for those of you wanting to see more photos, you can check out the following Google photo album link:

And I  have  to share a great "thanks" to Bob Dayton for helping me with so many questions about Dragons and Kaisers in every way.  Thanks Bob for your help and friendship :-)

Great way to end 2016 and begin fresh in the New Year.  Hope you enjoy the photos and Happy New Year to all.

Congratulations on your acquisition. I've known BIll for many years so I'm sure he made the deal right for the both of you.
