Texas flooding

I am very concerned about people who are being flooded, some losing everything, but also concerned about Kaiser cars that may be in the flooding.  Do any of you know of KF members who live there?

Considering how quickly and how high the water rose we may hear of much loss.  I have a first cousin and family that live there and they have done OK so far, and have provided updates and videos.  So sad what is happening.

Our roster lists all members who live in the flood areas.  We hope that none of them have any damage and that everyone gets through it ok.

Former KF member Robby Markman has a 51 Special and a 49 Fraser (37 Graham and 56 TBird as well) but he had relocated his cars to his ancestral home in Central Texas 2 months ago. Lucky him.
I have not heard from former VP Hal Naumann. He has a shop near the North Harris County line, but the land is flat as a billiard table.
My brother & I are 120 miles North of Houston and we got more than 12" of rain over 7 days. I live in an old house on an old house site, which means I am at the top of the surrounding area.  We didn't get enough rain in a short period to cause flooding. We got enough rain to make anything unpaved soft enough to sink your boots in.

In a previous Houston flood (it doesn't have to be a hurricane or worse, a slow moving tropical storm) a KF member surrendered a a 50 Kaiser Vagabond to the insurance company. Ben Walker wanted to buy the car as salvage, but the legal requirements prevented him from making a bid so as far was we know, that car was lost.

Yesterday I talked to Hal Naumann about the upcoming SouthCentral Meet in Oklahoma. I asked him about the flood impact and he said there was water in the street (a cul-de-sac)  in front of his his house 1.5  miles north of I610, but not on the side street where his driveway is. I asked him about his shop in Tomball where the ground is flat as a billiard table and he said there was no flooding there, but he could not get there for 4 days because of flooding on the way out there. He emphasized that the rain would come down hard and the water on the ground would start to build up, but then the rain would slack off and drain off. This is typical tropical storm/hurricane "banding."
