Thanks for showing this nice example of a Banthrico Henry J promotional model. The price is just about right for a model in this condition The seller claims to be an avid collector but does not know that Henry J promotional models were made by two different companies and there a couple of variations but no deluxe version by either company. Due to a tip in our forum and an ad in the latest Bulletin I decided to drive to Indianapolis to see some K-F models that were being offered in a auction there and to see a collection of K-F sales invoices from a former K-F distributor in the Indianapolis area. The auction contained some 400 new in the box model cars and airplanes as well as about six Henry J promotional models. One promo was a new in the original box Henry J plus another new one with no box, a couple of nice ones including Lincoln Line and Banthricos and two damaged models. I was able to get all of these except for one of the damaged ones. After the auction I went to see the son of a former Kaiser-Frazer dealer who had several boxes of original Kaiser Frazer sales invoices from the Distributor in the Indianapolis area. I had bought K-F- related items from this seller in the past and he mentioned these books but was not ready to sell them at that time. After looking at the books he asked if I would be interested in other K-F things that belonged to his Father's dealership. In addition to the boxes of invoices he had examples of promotional items that the dealer gave away to customers as well as stacks and books full of literature and letters from the factory to the dealer, several K-F and Darrin toys and best of all three new Henry J Models in their boxes in different colors. There was too much to fit into my car so I packed the models and promotional items and the rest is being shipped to me and I will be busy sorting for a long time. It turned out to be a fun and rewarding trip!
