54 Kaiser popularity
« on: October 27, 2017, 08:43:55 AM »
I recently attended an old car show.  I had photos of my red and white (not Kaiser colors) 54 Kaiser Manhattan with me and started showing them around.  People went goo-goo over them.  I would like to think that if I had taken my car to the show (no motor and tranny right now) that I would have taken First Place.  To me, they are still the prettiest auto available, bar none, and will continue to remain so.

That is what makes the hobby so fun. Each of us can get what we want.   The 54's are nice looking automobiles, partly because the incorporation of the new front treatment does work with the 51-53 bodies.
No old cars owned.

Yep.  The Buick stylist who came to Kaiser did a beautiful job of updating the 53...to be very similar to the Buick Experimental car that he had just designed before leaving Buick.

Our '54 Special won first-place for '50s autos in a local meet last Saturday. Received many comments from attendees who loved the car.
