Just arrived...
« on: August 23, 2015, 11:16:31 PM »
...the 1954 Kaiser Manhattan 4 door that previously belonged to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.  Was recently removed from display on the outside wall. Comes without motor, supercharger, or Hydramatic transmission, but these have been located and will become a part of this car.  Original colors of light green with dark green top, but was painted beautiful red with white top.  Wish I knew how to post photos.  It's a beauty.  Hardly any rust.  Underside was bathed with oil.  It was advertised for sale about a year ago, and now has a new home in Louisiana.

That's great Carpenter.  Can someone assist him with photos?
No old cars owned.

Thank you, Joe.  The person that I bought it from is doing the demolition of current walls in preparation for remodeling the exterior.  He got it for...$1.00.   I paid more than that.  Only 2 places of rust...the size of your hand where your feet go.

Gotta keep the plans secret for a while.  Trim for the passenger side were bought by the seller and placed in the back seat...which he also found locally and bought for me.  I found some bondo on the lower quarter panel on the driver's side.  Have found a motor, supercharger, and Hydramatic tranny that will be installed.   Will be needing a few other parts as restoration is done.  Someone did a beautiful job with the red and white. Original colors are light green with dark green top.  Interior is those colors.

I may be forced to sell this one.  Money has tightened up since I bought it.  If interested  contact me via this forum.

Well, I did not want to but finances dictated that I sell this beauty.  It came from California and is going back to California.  That's where the new owner lives.  It's been singing "I'll Be Home For Christmas", but doubt it will be there that soon.
