I understand how the membership feels about Chris Becker's posts but I also believe there are limitations to forums as a media. I have found this out as well. Those who criticize often, like myself, are misunderstood as malcontents and trolls. In fact, I never make it personal, but believe that criticism as an art is lost in this day and age of anonymous forums, social media and the like.
Criticism is how I learn, and how most of us learn. I do not mind being criticized and corrected.
Forums are the ones who invented AVATARS. In most cases we know who Fid, Gordie, Joe Frazer, and Roadmaster49 and so on are. One forum that requires real names is the Cadillac LaSalle Club.
Jake is not a troll. Trolls are posters that have 1 post or create topics to "stir the pot". Chris' posts are odd sometimes, in my opinion, but we know they are Chris / Jake. Not sure who or what you refer to as HOA.
I have only been involved with KF for about 12 years, but the Becker family in Nebraska with their Chryslers, KF's and so on go back decades.
I have left well over 25,000 posts on several forums since the dawn of forums in what? Mid 1990's, back when Yahoo was Google! (meaning Yahoo was the search engine of choice) But nothing replaces a phone call, a personal conversation, seeing someone. Mark H and I have been at it on the Buy/Sell as we disagree on value of a car, and it's a bad optic to anyone reading the comments. But in reality that whole conversation, done face to face, would take 5 minutes or less and I for one would respect Mark's position and we would part friends and respect each other.
Forums however, even ones were we post under our own names, are flawed and limited. Therefore, I do not read anything into personality conflict in a post.
