Fuel Pump Wanted
« on: August 21, 2018, 07:55:08 PM »
Can anyone help with a current crossover number for a fuel pump for a 1954 Kaiser Early Special?  This is the 1953 engine NOT the 54 Supercharged engine used in the 54 Manhattan.

Asking for a friend here in town that just purchased the car.

Thanks, Mike

I've been looking all over the internet and it appears that Airtex 4318 will work.   ???

Does anyone have any experience with this one?

The 4318 is a dual action pump used with vacuum wipers. It’ll work on cars with electric wipers but isn’t the correct pump.

Thanks Jim.  Is there a commercially available pump that will work and also be correct?

Be sure to get a rebuilt one done with materials that will support the gasoline of today and not a N.O.S. one.  I learned the hard way!
