Yes, this car looks solid.  Although the car is listed on the Boise Craigslist, the location appears to be in Gresham, OR which is just outside of Portland.

It is interesting  that it it is a six cyl .with overdrive and a Custom but with no trunk.

Lots of '51 six with OD had no trunk lid. Lots of '51 4 without OD had a trunk lid.

One of the few HJ's I have seen that looked this nice.  Why is there blue paint on the floor pans but it appears to be painted a desert tan metallic or similar?  Of course it could mean it was repainted but the doors inside and c out, and the dash, everywhere is tan except the floor?

It is not painted a factory original color. Many '51 Js, many, were originally satin blue and based on the engine compartment firewall, trunk floor and fading on the passenger side upper quarter, I'd say this one was originally satin blue too.
Whoever changed the color took the time to also do the insides but did not take the time to pull the engine and do the engine compartment. Can't say I blame them as that is a lot of work.

Regardless, it looks like a nice workable example and would make a fun car for someone.  Original floorboards too - that's rare in any Henry J.

Good catch. I didn't notice that.  It means the car likely has the 41/10 rear end as opposed to the 41/9 rear end the six with OD cars were shipped with. In my opinion, this is a good thing as if you're out driving and you have OD trouble, with 41/10 you can still cruise and 60 mph or better without the engine screaming as it does at 45 mph when the OD does not work in the  41/9 equipped cars.

The deck lid did not appear in production until November or early December 1950.  By that time at least 20,000 HJ's (4 and 6) were built without trunk lids no matter how well equipped the car was.  About half of the HJ's listed in the KFOCI Registry are minus deck lids (but as the car's conditions are not listed there is no way of knowing how many were parts cars, junkyard sightings, etc).
