Oil pressure sending unit
« on: December 09, 2018, 03:00:39 AM »
Hi all, trying to trace the reason for a zero reading on my oil pressure gauge (51 Deluxe). Checked relief valve and not stuck. Looking at sender now and my question is can i fit any replacement sender as long as 6 volt? Thanks Richard

KF oil sending units and gauges are calibrated to work together. If you suspect the sending unit isn't working, it should be replaced with a known good unit of the same part number, or you can replace it altogether with an aftermarket mechanical gauge.

When you day a mechnical gauge, i assume you mean a complete gauge that works from a direct feed from the engine block? Do i then have to have an additional gauge for reading the pressure, in the cab??
