The Canfield show is about an hour's drive from me. It is a good show...I've found quite a few KF goodies there over the years. Hershey is still the big one for me, however.

I recently shipped a fuel pump. I drained it and ran some compressed air thru it to clean it out, then wrapped it in plastic and off it went.

Mine hasn't had fuel in it for close to 40 years, I took it apart and thoroughly cleaned it, I was in the process of rebuilding it myself, so no fuel at all in it. I just reassembled it and packed it up.
I like Canfield Spring meet, fall hasn't been as great, I quite going to the July meet, way too hot and not much there. I like Carlisle and I have 4 spaces there for the Spring and Fall meets. I sell a little, but mostly buy. Because of all of the cars I am working on I also go to Fords, Chryslers, Imports and Trucks. Hershey is great, but I am getting too old to get through it in one day, so I need to plan on making it a 2 or 3 day event.

I received my rebuilt fuel pump and carburetor back from the re-builders as a Christmas present for me. Also picked up my rebuilt starter and generator today and installed them. Very close to completing the drivetrain. I am looking into getting a rebuilt overdrive solenoid for the transmission.
Does anyone have a source for the heater tube that goes from the water pump to the rear of the motor, and also the plug wire separators that bolt to the top of the valve cover?

I am getting so much great help from everyone on this forum, special thanks to Mark and Noah. Maybe someone can help me with locating the fuel filter with the glass bowl that screws into the fitting on the carburetor, and the spark plug wire separators that mount to the valve cover. My motor is coming along pretty well.

i meant to add this second shot, looking for filter that goes between fuel line and carb.
And BTW i finally found the missing flywheel that I looked for for months. Right where I thought it was, standing up next to my mini fridg, where I looked at  least 30 time and for some reason couldn't see. I now have a spare.

Glad I could be of help in any small way:-) it’s looking good! I do have a question regarding the inline glass filter...the one in my old man’s is located just before the fuel pump. So, is there a correct way? Or a preferred way? I know there is a screen in the carb, but I’ve seen them both ways on other vehicles, but what is considered acceptable for the Darrin?

Here’s what’s been on the old man’s forever...the paper filter supercedes the old ceramic filters inside.

I'm not familiar with how a Darrin F-head is wired but Walcks carries a standard looking Willys bracket he has reproduced.

By the way, engine is looking good!

TWO THINGS--FUEL FILTER SHOULD ALWAYS BE INSTALLED AT THE PUMP INLET--THATS WHERE YOU NEED TO STOP THE DIRT.

SECONDLY, AND MOST IMPORTANT--PUTTING A GLASS BOWL FILTER AT THE CARB INLET IN WRONG FOR TWO REASONS...#1 IS STATED ABOVE.

#2 IS FIRE...FIRE..FIRE--ON AN F-HEAD
EVEN THOUGH I HAVE AN INLINE FILTER AT PUMP INLET, I PUT A GLASS BOWL ONE AT CARB INLET FOR THAT "CLASSIC" LOOK--VERY DUMB
...WHEN THE GASKET GAVE OUT==FULL FUEL PUMP PRESSURE PUT GAS ON DISTRIBUTOR--FIRE FIRE--BURNT UP UNDERHOOD ON MY HJ  $8K REPAIR

YEARS AGO KAISER ISSUED A BULLETIN WARNING OF THE ABOVE--DIDN'T SEE IT 'TILL TOO LATE

I WROTE ABOUT THAT IN THIS FORUM SEVERAL YEARS AGO

Thanks Terry! I recall reading that now that you mention it again. That’s a horrible situation, but a good lesson for the rest of us to be sure to correct.

Ideally, a fuel filter should be located as close to the tank as possible. I spliced in an in-line plastic cased filter near the tank to prevent pulling contaminates thru the line.

The Walcks plug wire unit is the correct style but you won’t use the line separator that mounts on the topside. Your car uses two brackets, one by the oil inlet and the other mounts on the stud near the back of the valve cover.
