I agree with Bob;  steel stems are the way to go!  I still haven't had any problems.  It's a relief, not having to worry about losing the rims all the time!

I had a Henry J that repeatedly threw the right front wheel cover. I never solved the problem.I pasted a note inside the wheel cover with my phone number and a reward notice. That worked several times.
