Great color combination on that one
There is no doubt that that color combination is nice. When I look at this car, and we assume it is as nice in person as the few photos - I also consider my other car clubs. I am a Cadillac LaSalle Club member and a Buick Club of America member.
A 1954 Buick Roadmaster 4 door sedan in this condition would be a $12,000 to $18,000 car BUT there is a very, very small buyers pool for an $18,000 4 door Buick Roadmaster. These had V8's, 322 cid. All had automatics. Trim on interior and dash design were no better or worse than a Kaiser.
Cadillacs had 2 different 4 door models - a 62 sedan and a Fleetwood. A Fleetwood would garner $15,000 to $25,000 and had a fitted interior and some extra exterior touches.
62 4 door sedans are yawners from a collectors standpoint. Sellers may ask $25,000 for one in similar condition to this 54 Manhattan, but they won't get it.
This seems to be a good price for this 54 Manhattan. I don't see many truly old timer KFOCI members paying $16 large for a 54 Kaiser not named Darrin. I am not a big fan of the 54 front end styling but it is unique, and this is a Manhattan. Great colors, authentic interior and still supercharged engine. nice car!
