Need Picture of a solid Jade Green Metallic 53
« on: September 04, 2019, 08:47:04 AM »
Does anybody have a picture that they could share of a solid jade green 53 Manhattan.  I recently purchased one and can only find images of a two-tone jade green 53.   I am trying to decide whether I should stay with the original color or change it. I have always liked the image of the ivory and green  from the brochure where the car appears to be yellow with the green roof.  So I am considering his soft yellow bottom possibly yellow satin from the 54 Darrin.

 Ideas or comments.

It is 202 jade green metallic.

The car is pictured in my first post.

I am curious to see what a restored example of jade green metallic looks like.   My car is still in original paint so it is well faded and very thin on the hood

My decision is whether not I want to stay with the original color or if I want to go after a personal preference I am not concerned with any impact of value if I choose to do a color change.    I would however stay with an original Kaiser color.  Since the original jade green and bamboo interior is serviceable I want to stay with a color that compliments the interior so I am somewhat limited to a shade of green, white or yellow.

Several years ago I was at a meet in Sheboygan Wisc. There was a member there with a very nice '53 Manhattan. He lived about 10 mi from Sheboygan and I went to his house to buy some Kaiser parts. He had a full set I believe of sedan doors that he wanted to sell at a very reasonable price. I looked at them and they were in nice shape stored indoors. You could find him from the membership list looking in the Sheboygan area.
