I have a Henry J based LaDawri Conquest with Ford Kingpins, spindles and steering arms (shoebox). I'm fabricating (water jet cut) new steering arms that are shortened to be correct for a 1988 Chevy Cavalier RS rack and pinion unit (rear steer and center take-off, 2.5 turns L to L). I've read that the steering arm length for the Cavalier is 5.5 inches. This rack is a common mod for Shoebox Fords (look on the H.A.M.B.).
What I don't have is accurate pictures and measurements for the original Henry J / Darrin steering arms. I'd like the information for a reference when considering the tierod geometry and rack placement.
For the steering arm outer tie rod hole: need the angle offset towards the center of the car and any drop as measured in refernce from the two holes that attach the arm to the bottom of the kingpin area. Nice pictures would help! Thank you!
