1951 Frazer Rarity

Just sitting around daydreaming about cars I'd like to own and looking at listings online (as all car guys seem to do  ). I've always been partial to the strange styling of the '51 Frazer's. I've owned 3 Kaisers and I see Kaisers listed here and there for sale online occasionally. But what I've never seen listed is a '51 Frazer. Which got me thinking, how rare are these cars? Is it a pipe dream to find one in good shape at a decent price? By decent price I mean under 10 grand. As I said, just daydreaming.....

Why not bid on the 51 frazer that's on ebay right now? It's at $1425. Better hurry though, only 7 hours left!

Not much happening on this forum any more.  Used to be your inquiry would get a lot of response. In general, there are less 51 Frazers available but when I was active in the hobby 5 to 10 years ago they came up fairly often.

As you may know they came in three body styles the four-door sedan the four-door hardtop and a convertible. The four-door hardtop and the convertible are very hard to come by and very expensive in decent condition.The four-door sedan show up quite often I don’t know about the current modern market it just seems a lot of these old cars have dried up.

I personally am not a fan of the restyle I like it clean or grill and I prefer tail lamps that are integrated a little better but there’s no doubt that the 51 Frazer is a unique automobile that would draw crowds

Our National President and most of the National officers do not like or use the forum and have started their own facebook page and many have switched over to that venue.  It is a shame considering all the thousands of Kaiser-Frazer questions and answers posted here over the years.

Actually they came in four body styles.  They were also available in the utility model - hatchback, as a '51 Frazer Vagabond.

1.  Over 50% of the Forum members are NOT members of the KFOCI; being a member of the Forum does not mean you are a member of the club itself.  You can join on the website the club has (KFCULB.com).  Members of the KFOCI can run FOR SALE and WANTED ads in the Monthly Newsletter.

2.  Over the years, some club members have been succcessful contacting current Frazer owners which resulted in the members buying  cars when the owners decided to sell.  As a result some never get advertised for sale.   That's how I got my first K-F product, a 1951 Frazer 5151 standard 4 door sedan (51 for 1951 model year, 5 for Frazer and 1 for 4-door sedan).

3.  So far this year at least 3 1951 Frazers changed hands. 

4.  The same sort of thing exists for other K-F or Willys products.  For example, as far as I know, not a single Graham-Paige Frazer has gone up for sale so far in 2020 and more of them were built than the 1951 Frazer 4-door sedan.
