Engine paint and parts paint
« on: August 08, 2020, 08:45:59 PM »
I’d like to detail my engine and engine area. Does anyone reproduce the correct color/ paint for the 53 engines? Also should the black parts such as the spark plug wire bracket, etc.. be shiny black or flat black? ThNks, any help or ideas on detailing the engine area is appreciated.

Not sure what you're working on but as an example, some parts on an Aero engine & engine bay are engine color, body color, natural, satin/semi gloss and gloss. I don't recall any flat except possibly the radiator but mine were too far gone to be sure, so I went satin.

Thanks to both of you, the link Fid gave REALLY helped out a lot. My only question now is what paint and where do I get it to be authenticate ? I’m a purist and would love to have it look original, thanks again
