I do not think that vertical hose barb will fit under the HJ floor boards. I had to use a 90 degree one.

I bought a couple of kits and letting them know it was for a Kaiser car they pointed out the clearance problem and supplied the cap with a 90 degree fitting.

Yes, that's the one. Very nice and definitely looks era correct. Dorman makes a round "bellows" type cap gasket that might fit it if you want a sealed chamber instead of a direct vent to atmosphere. (Dorman #42072) I did that on mine, bellows not nearly big enough to compensate for much fluid loss so checking often is required.

just installed w/straight nipple--fits, barely, but it fits
