'51 Frazer taillights

These need to be reproduced at a REASONABLE cost.  Must be too expensive even for the manufacturing fund.  And we are talking plastic!

There are just not a lot of '51 Frazers in the club and not one came to the Salem meet.  I do not know what it would cost for the dies to make a set but if they were made I doubt if you could sell much more than ten sets and that is why they probably will never be made.  Items made by the manufacturing fund in the past have been over produced in some instances and they rotted and had to be thrown away as they were unsaleable.  There are '51 Frazer tail lights that come up on eBay occassionally and some in the $500 range so they are available if you really need them.  I really doubt if you will ever see new reproductions unless someone already has the dies for them.

Yes, I know of two sources for the up to $600-650 a pair taillight lenses and believe them to be repro, but one of the sources passed away recently and the other holds stedfast to the price even though the perception is there are more than just one set available. So "someone" has had the molds as I would doubt they were scrapped. That's just much too high for most folks to justify, particularly for driver cars.
