Lowering Blocks
« on: October 28, 2008, 01:55:44 PM »
I need to lower the rear of my 51 Kaiser Special about 1 1/2 inches.  I have not found any lowering blocks of the right dimensions to fit.  Has anyone installed lowering blocks on their car?  If so, where did you find them?

Try taking a leaf out of each of the rear springs.  Maybe you have heavy duty springs in the back.

I found a set at Night Prowlers.  They had the right deminsion 'U' bolts (3" center stud to center stud), which I could not find at the franchise auto parts places.  I plan to install them and then decide if the front end needs to be lowered.  If it does I will probably take the coil springs out and cut a single round out of them.
