OVERDRIVE CABLE
« on: May 31, 2011, 12:05:43 PM »
What type of clamp is used to secure the OD cable to the top of the transmission?
I have the part that is mounted to the transmission, but not the part that interfaces to it and secures the cable housing.
A pic or part to buy would be greatly appreciated!!

The OD cable is not secured to the top of the transmission. It uses that clamp at the back that is fastened to one of the transmission fastening bolts and then holds the cable in place between the clamp and the solenoid.  I think I posted a picture on here before, if not here it is (clamp is inside thin red square) -
.
The OD control cable, incidently, is the same one used on the 1949/50 Kaiser and Frazer and the '51 Frazer.
