According to the parts books (issue date 11/1/46, 6/1/47 with supplement issued 11/1/47) there are differences in the number of bumper guards on 1947 K-100 Kaiser Specials. The first two books list a total of 4 guards; 2 front, 2 back. The supplement dated 11/1/47 lists 4 front (L&R inner and L&R outer) with the 1 piece bumper and 2 rear guards as before. The parts book for 1947 and 1948 models (my copy is revised April 1948) indicates that if the car has the 3 piece bumper (center section, left section, right section) it has two guards front, two rear. The book also notes that if the car has a 1 piece bumper, as noted in the 1947 supplement, the front bumper has the 4 guards, the back only 2.
