Hi guy's/gal's

I'm new to the club, have a 47 Frazer Manhatten, formerly owned by Mr Conway, who was a member. His estate sold the car several years ago, and I know the guy that bought it. Its been sitting ever since. So I was able to buy it last month and just starting to get it back into running condition. I've had to get numerous small things, like oil filter, air filter, hood brace, etc, that weren't on the car for whatever reason. But I found this cable end coming out of the fire wall on the driver side, and have no clue what its for. Its not the hood release, its to short to go to a choke. So am at a loss, and figured this would be a good place to ask the question. ;D  Steve McKee

The 1947/48 KFs had a pull knob on the dash marked 'T' which stood for 'Throttle.' It acted like a poor man's cruise control. I believe the Owner's Manual stated "Use it to drive at predetermined speeds..." or something like that. Trace it and if it goes to the knob with the 'T' on it, it would have been connected to the throttle on the carburettor.

Thanks, I'll check that, I haven't really studied the knobs in detail yet, so that's interesting, could be an accident waiting to happen if you forget to push it in when it comes time to stop !  :D

I also had that kind of "cruise control" on my '41 Plymouth.  I wasn't aware that KF had it as well, since I have only owned (2) 53 Kaisers.

I always wanted one of those, and when I got my 49, was disappointed that they didn't come with them. Could a throttle control be added easily to a 49?
