Yes it is.  Two things of interest.  First, the upholstery either has seat covers on it or was redone years ago.  Second, it still has a type 1/2 oil filter so I would not be surprised to find the last time it was driven was 1985 or earlier.

That's a tough car to look at. I rarely completely agree with "Joe Frazer" when he says "that's a $500 car at best" but this is one case I think he is right on (although he hasn't posted on this particular car  :D  )

It's a Dragon so that means something inside the club but it's missing all the Dragon jewelry and I thought Dragons had "Dragon" badges on the front fenders, which I don't see.  That engine looks like it has been neglected for years. You need glass, which I assume doesn't come cheap.  You would need to duplicate whatever the interior was.  etc etc.

Jack (or anyone), can you tell me what the paint and interior codes mean?  Some of the problems for KF fans is preserving these few special edition cars but in the real world, you would have to explain to people why a Dragon was special.   I am waiting for the day I have to explain to a car show crowd why a Virginian is important and unique.

Paint 097 = Stardust Ivory

Trim 5308 = Black on Beige Laguna (seats) with a bleached Bambu top.

Unfortunately, since the car is in Texas, it'll probably never see a restoration since there's alot better stuff available. If the body is solid, it's worth near the asking price just because it is a Dragon. If it were a Manhattan or DeLuxe, the $500 assessment would, sadly, be about right.

That car has been on ebay for eons. Over a year to be sure. Seems no one (and certainly not me) is interested in taking it on as a project.

Therein lies the problem or "good part" about being into KF cars. Few outside the KF community care about Dragons.  A person would need to dump a lot of money into this Texas car to bring it back authentically, yet, if a person went to recoup some of his/her money and advertised it as a "rare 1953 Kaiser Dragon" at a Mecum auction, the hords would walk on by to the umpteenth 1969 Chevy Camaro and bid crazy money.
