On my '51 Kaiser, the pinion seal is leaking in the rear end. The manual talks about removing the
cotter key, nut and washer and then using a special tool to remove a "yoke". The expanded
picture in the manual does not show a yoke. I have replaced seals on the rear pinion before on
the "hotchkiss" style differential (open drive shaft) and do not remember a yoke. Has someone
done this and could describe the procedure? I have never needed a special tool other than the
150lb torque on the nut is a bear to remove since most splines are tapered. Thanks in advance.
