How to refurbish dash
« on: February 26, 2012, 10:01:25 AM »
By the dash I mean the plastic face and also the plastic piece on the passenger side. On the dash, the plastic is really nasty and faded, the brown around the edge is scratched up. On the passenger side also nasty and the background behind where it says Kaiser is cracked. How can I fix this, or are these parts available? I already have new guages that I bought a few years back.

Thanks,
Kory

If you're talking about the 47-48 cars, all of the dash parts are available...many NOS. The 49-50 cars also have dash parts in good supply. As you move to the newer cars, the supply becomes much less as fewer of the cars were produced...which means that fewer spare parts went into the supply chain. Keep an eye on the club bulletin, what you need will eventually show up!

Sorry, forgot to mention it's a 48 Kaiser.
