Kaiser door mirror picture
« on: July 09, 2012, 09:14:38 AM »
I'm looking for a picture of the Kaiser accessory door mirror. Made by George Knight corp. I believe Knight provided accessory door mirrors for Kaiser, Hudson and other independantes.   They are unique in that they have a patented rotating pivot head and a  1/2 " cunard like wing on the pivot head. Were there differant Thanks

I have noted that people today tend to go with the clip-on type as no holes need to be drilled in the door.

I have several 100142 mirrors I would like to restore but their are two rivoted pivot joints at that knuckle behind the mirror face.  If I drill out  the rivots I know not how to get them back in after rechroming.

Check ebay...there are plenty of the 100142 style mirrors for sale as aftermarket units. They usually run around 20 bucks or so each.
