Sun visor query
« on: July 29, 2012, 12:32:30 AM »
My manhattan came with the sun visor. It is not painted. However I have seen many pictures of Frazers where the visor is painted.

Questions
1. What metal is the visor made of?
2. Did they come on the car normally painted or unpainted?
3. Does painting the visor add or take away value of the car or is it a matter of personal preference?

The factory sun visors came from different vendors, depending on year and application (vendors included Fulton) and were normally supplied to dealers in primer so only one part number needed to be stocked (dealers were to paint it to match the color of the carf it was going on).

Visors should be painted car color with same type of paint (lacquer or enamel) as the car was painted.

Thanks. Mine is bare metal so I guess at one point it might have been sanded to bare metal in prep for painting.
