Frazer Standard for sale
« on: August 20, 2012, 07:39:29 AM »
The seller says it's a 'Manhatten' but it's a standard -

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-KAISER-MANHATTEN-4-DOOR-PARTS-CAR-project-car-/261085294313?pt=Salvage_Parts_Cars&hash=item3cc9e56ee9&vxp=mtr

I wonder why that is? Seems every seller who offers a Frazer assumes/calls it a 'Manhattan' or... in this case a 'Manhatten'
I posted on here long ago why I no longer make any attempt to correct ebay sellers so if someone else wants to, be my guest.

My issue is with there parts houses that use ebay to sell and put a $1995 price on a parts car.  Consider the 1950 Traveller our member recently purchased off an ebay auction from Albuquerque NM.  A near perfect low mileage desirable Traveller that sold for $1500 or so. Why would anyone buy a whole car for $2000, extend another several hundred to go get it for the parts they need????

I contacted an ebayer about their 1950 Kaiser they have on continuous ebay loop for $1700 and said I would buy the grille and he responded no, whole car only.  OK, then keep running it for years then because no one that I know is going to fork over $1700 and another $1000 to go get a 50 slabside.

No old cars owned.
