This is a nice one for a good price.  Is this one of our members does anyone know?
Content of ad (not mine)--
I am selling my 53 Kaiser Manhattan for $5,500OBO. The only thing I had to do to this car is a new fuel pump. This is a very neat car not only from its backround but from its nice body lines. If you dont know the backround to Kaiser,He was a ship builder for the war and He only manufactued these cars for a short time,It is allways stored indoors and hardley ever driven. If you have any questions call me ,JON 612-644-4433

Looks pretty nice. However, for that money he should have a link to more pictures, especially of the interior, underhood, trunk, and closeups of the body.

Blaine, MN is not too far from me. I don't think I'll be going to look at it but I do like the color and it looks good from what you can see.

That 53 is a match to mine...right down to the interior. The MN car looks like it's had a coat of spray can chrome applied to the shiney parts.

Also...another 53 for sale. This one is across town from me. I've seen the car and it's a nice one...and it's a 2 door.

I agree that 2 door is nice AND another 2 door in somewhat muted conservative colors, like the black 2 door that received attention here awhile back and is enroute to Australia or New Zealand now.

IF this car has a legitimate 52,000 miles and the seller is asking $8500, that's a great deal.

Not sure about the spray can chrome or whether it just needs some serious detailing but I too like the color as one not as commonly seen - at least by me - on the 53 Kaisers.  I was wondering if the interior had been redone incorrectly but I believe that would have been pointed out.  I'm getting more and more burned out on projects when - in this economy - there are so many cars available that are just good drivers.

Take that 53 2 door you posted Joe F, 52,000 original miles, looks great, no need to restore, maybe he comes down $1000? and you get it for $7500.  A person could own that for 10-15 years with a lot of "old car hobby" enjoyment derived from it. Exercise it maybe 2,000 miles a year on average and it would still only have 74,000 miles in 10 years.

I bought a 73 Buick recently from the original family - a car with 67,000 miles and all original in running driving condition for $2500.  Some people have to have the 55-57 Chevy, the Camaro, Mustang or muscle car but for those just trying to enjoy old cars, there are a lot of bargains out there.

The interior on the Cardinal 53 is correct as it is a match to mine. The interior in mine is original and near perfect which is amazing considering the exterior was a mess when I got it.

Speaking of lo-mile bargain cars, I bought an 81 Eldorado at auction last fall for $500. It has 39K miles and a perfect body and interior. Unfortunately, the mechanics were not as nice and I now have 4 times my purchase price in the car and can finally drive it more than a mile from home without worrying about getting back! This illustrates that not every low mileage barn find is a great deal...my Cadillac is proof of that!

I heard about the Brecksville OH car from some of the people at the Ford plant.  They knew of a car being in Brecksville but nobody--not even the old car guys--knew where the car was, who had it, etc.

Looks like another 53 in the Cleveland area is for sale. Interestingly, this one was built by Ford...so the seller says!

Once again, who in their right mind would pay $10,000 for any car with such minimum content and 2 bad photos and of course the Ford note.

I still say 95% of these Craigs List ads never sell.  Or find an audience.
