radiators (advertizement )
« on: October 14, 2012, 02:51:39 PM »
Today in Drive magazine I saw that U.S. Radiator is now making NEW radiators for 1950-54 Henry j and 1952-1954 kaiser.
Their phone # is 323 826 0965.
usradiator.com is the web site.

Hope this helps someone as that is why I put it in. This is not for any gain of mine.
1953 traveler (long gone)
1949 Bermuda tan (still in California not mine)

1947 special (modified) Linda's
1953 Carolina my first Hydra-Matic not on road yet

Thanks for the new info,
If you are good a soldering, you can by a replacement Harrison Radiator at O'reily's or Napa,  the one for the 55 Chevrolet Belaire fits the 1952-54 Kaiser Deluxe and Manhattan you have to remove the tabs and reverse them to make it fit like the orig. and you have a new radiator.  If you need to restore a honecomb  www.thebrassworks.net  can give you a quote and if need be,  make you a new one.  I have had them rework some of my old radiators, and mfg. a replacement for my 1917 American LaFrance and I was pleased with the work.

What is different about the '51 versus the later year Kaiser's?

The parts book does not show anything for a 1951 to 1952 kaiser.  Therefore 1952-54 should work according to the parts books.

51-55 Kaisers all used the same radiator. Harrison date coded their rads, the upper tank will have a two digit number followed by a letter. For example, "50E' means that the rad was manufactured in May of 1950. The letter A meant January, B was February and so on. The letter "I" was not used.
