At the time the story was written nobody knew for sure what was going to happen with the project. A "news of the week" kind of story in AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRIES back in 1953 said that K-F was preparing to build 2,000 of the cars to start with at a suggested retail price of $2,000.00. MOTOR TREND reported in a "sneak preview" department that the car would go on sale in the fall of 1953 and have a tri-carb setup on the HJ Flathead 6. Based on Kaiser Motors own files, this put the writing of that story prior to the end of June 1953 as in early July, management decided to use the Willys F-head 6 instead of trying to get more ummph out of the HJ flathead 6.
