Yes the '51 Henry J and those '51s which were reserialed as '52 Vagabonds used an Autolite starter. All Corsair and Corsair Deluxe models used a Delco Remy unit and they are not interchangeable as they use a different clutch housing and different wiring. The wires from the starter button to the solenoid on the Delco Unit are 12 gauge and need to be. The one on the Autolight is 14 gauge. The starter button is different too - the one used on the Autolite is cheap with small gauged contacts which ground the solenoid whereas the starter button for the Delco equipped cars is heavier gauged and has two terminals on it because it supplies a hot wire from the ignition switch to the solenoid instead of grounding it. Of course there are ebay sellers and some KF parts vendors who are unaware and assume "one size fits all" on anything for the Henry J so beware. I'm sure there were some surprises from people who purchased parts listed for "'51 - '53 Henry J..." and found out otherwise.

And here's another classic example:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1951-1954-HENRY-J-KAISER-DARRIN-USED-BUMPER-GUARD-LOT-3-51-52-53-54-/121056756581?hash=item1c2f8b8365&item=121056756581&pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

The ad lists them a 1951-54 Henry and Darrin bumper gaurds. Not true - the 1951 gaurds are different than the '53 Henry J/ Darrin gaurds. They used different bumpers which have a different horizontal and vertical curvature to them.  The factory Henry J parts book lists the 1951 guard as part number 212295 (all 4) and the 1953 guard is  part number 213326 (all four). The 1952 Corsair Deluxe used a combination; two 212295s on the back bumper which was the same as a the '51 and two 213326s on the front bumper which is the same as the '53. The Darrin has the same bumpers as the '53 J. If you try to use '51 style guards on your '53, get out your grinder!
