Well, here's another one. I removed my master cylinder yesterday and have a re-building kit ready, but when I took it apart I was missing a piece that the shop manual says should be there. It is called the "piston stop plate." If you remove the piston push rod and boot you will see a a retaining clip. The stop plate should be directly behind it. It stops the piston, but on my car the piston was hitting directly against the retainer--there was no stop plate. I don't know if there is any way to get this part. Acutally, it looks like just a washer, which I might be able to find at a hardware store, but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this. It's a '53 Kaiser (Dragon).
