Jim,

I would expect the information (if not the signs themselves) to come out of the Chief Judge's office.  Has anyone contacted Char?  If so, what was her response?

Ah the KF Class Signs! I got saddled with them for 2 straight years. The purpose of them was to inform visitors to the National display and direct members where to park there cars in the lot. But the signs had to be put up early to direct the members because we have a lot of car owners who unload their cars and won't move them until the day of judging.
No matter how the signs were anchored, they tended to blow over.
The signs were there at Sweetwater, but it was Tuesday or so before some one thought to bring them out. The view I expressed was it was too late for them to be effective (certain people were not going to move their cars; one in particular because it really didn't run) and there weren't that many cars that being scattered out as they were, the judges would not be likely to miss any.

Close to making another set of Class Signs
The plan is to make 16 X 24 sandwich board white MDO signs that should be wind resistant with the attached vinyl images glued on.

These images will be 11 X 17.

Jim: That sounds interesting. I don't how well it will work in the real world. That is what testing is about. 2 suggestions: The feet/bases need to the weighed some how. Next, you mention images. I would think a substantial part of the sign area should be an image of the car that belongs in the class.

One of the big problems with the signs is getting someone to transport them to the next national.  They are to large or no one wants to store them.

The original signs and stands were designed to fit in a fitted wood box. The box was heavy, but not excessively. If you came to a National and you were asked to take the signs to the next National reasonable excuses would be: I came on an airplane, I came on a motorcycle, and I hate you people and I won't be at the National next year.
