Who's Henry J
« on: December 22, 2012, 12:37:06 PM »
This looks like the Hal Neuman\Neil Greener Henry J. Looks to be the nicest one in a long time.

I could get real serious about it, if it did not bring top dollar! It's no reserve. Who knows?

That is a beauty. One of the nicest ones I've seen. It's not Hal Nauman's as his is a '52 with a continental kit on it. Is this one David Dunn's..?  The guy in Niagara Falls area...? Never saw the car myself but I heard it was among the nicest out there and this one looks like it could be.

I can not be sure, but it is probably a reservoir for the remote fill master cylinder.

Good catch, I didn't see that cannister/jar. It looks a lot like the remote master cylinder reservoir my '52 Henry J  has on it. A welcome modification in my opinion. KF issued one of their own and rialto posted a picture of it recently.

I don't know if there was more than one factory issue version as it doesn't look like that one.
The one on my '52 J is a Darwin and looks a little different.

This is in my old,old parts store. It came in a KF box, long disintegrated.I used the master cylinder cap from the kit but a different (wilwood)reservoir.

The auction says "Scottsdale" on it. If that's Scottsdale, AZ, then that car is likely the one owned by Ron Hughes. It used to get gold every time I saw it in the Quarterly. Hughes quit the club about 7 or 8 years ago, he was one of those guys that I never heard a good word about. Seems he rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way.

Master Cylinder Reservoir

Rather than drilling the cap to add master cylinder reservoir, has anyone ever tried drilling and tapping into the MC housing itself?

Terry has sold it.  He did say it had threading in it to reservoir and it had regular cap.
