Does anyone have installation instructions for power steering assist (Monroe) for Kaisers? I have re-installed one on my 54, and the power ram moves in opposite direction of the steering wheel turn. The problem is the ram moves far enough to impact the frame (right turn) and the engine (left turn), consequently breaking the hose fittings on top of the ram. I may have installed the unit incorrectly since I have forgotten what the installation looked like when I disassembled the car. When I replaced the hoses I may have gotten larger stiffer hoses and that too may contribute to the problem, it seems the ram should not move so much and I wonder if I'm missing a clamp or something. Any suggestions would be welcome.
