It looks like the trunk version is a recent edition to the line. Check eBay for them which is where I found them.  They have photos of the opening trunk, so I know its not just generic ad copy.  There are currently three colors advertized on eBay.  Some without trunk which seems to be an early version of the model and some with.

Two new versions, with trunk lids, are out within the last month. The green one, as I mentioned, is a nice forrest green color but it is not "Cape Verde Green" as Sunstar claims.  Still a very nice model and they even got the original Henry J jack right!  Quite impressive. The other one with the opening trunk is Caribbean Coral. I don't have one yet but I will soon.  Interesting thing about Caribbean Coral is I don't think I've seen two Caribbean Coral KF products where the color was the same. There may have been more than one version of Caribbean Coral. I know there were two different version of Linden Green and they were not exactly the same so who knows?

I forgot to comment that I really like that black '52 Corsair Deluxe at Yakima that was posted a few days back. My guess is, that car was done by Tom Britanyac in Oregon. He put a lot of Henry Js back on the road. Tom did good work too. He was not always able to make his restorations authentic because it is/was not always possible to get the parts to do so.  That black 1952 has a 1953 rear bumper on it. Not an easy thing to find but Tom always made due with what he had or could find and as a result he put a lot of nice Henry Js back on the road.  I know he's been very ill for the past 5 or 6 years but I think he's still with us.  He was a champion Henry J restorer that's for sure and I think he should be recognized for it.

My dad owns Edgar Kaiser's Henry J and I am also the official caretaker of that one. It's a yellow 1951 that looks like a 1953. When it first arrived here, I practiced the fine art of squeezing three Henry Js into a 2 car garage.

Here are two shots of my Promo model of the 1951 Henry J.  It came in several colors including this red and a yellow.  It was made without an interior both with and without a friction motor.

I got my beat up little model from Mississippi.  I was stationed at Keesler AFB on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and a friend of mine was moving into a house in the town near the base. While resting from moving her stuff, I decided to explore the property a little as it was an old house built around the 30's or 40's from the looks of it.  I went out to the garage and imagined a gleaming new Kaiser parked on the dirt floor.  I was looking around and saw a dust covered little car screwed to a board that because of the limited light looked like a '49 Ford.  Upon closer inspection I was delighted to find it was this little Henry J. I knew it wasn't valuable, especially in its current condition, and my friend was not a car enthusiast, she said that I should have the little car.  I have protected it ever since and it is a prized part of my collection.
We also found the former Kaiser-Frazer dealer in Biloxi, and met with the owner of the dealership who was in his eighties back in 1993.  He gave us a radio blank for our '51 Kaiser and some Willys brochures.
