Hello, I have just purchased a '54 Darrin (VIN 161001412) and have a few questions regarding the car:
I need a few parts (driver door handle, trunk key lock, floor shift boot); does anyone have any of these parts or know a vendor?
What shade of black was originally on the frame of the car (flat, satin, gloss)?
Does anyone have a line on a vendor for replacing the soft-top?
Regarding carpet, does anyone know a vendor for this piece, also is the carpet "cut-pile" or "loop"?
The Darrin is "Pine Tint" color; what is the correct carpet color and what color would the optional seat belts be?
I have seen pictures of the Darrin with a soft-top with one rear window (centered) and other photos of three clear window panels (which one is correct)?
The interior is both green and beige/fawn color; does anyone know what the beige/fawn color is called (I have green interior material, but not this accent color) and does anyone know where I can get this material?
