Henry J?
« on: May 30, 2014, 02:28:00 PM »
I was sent this picture by a friend, showing me Henry J in bottom right corner.  I don't think it is a Henry J looking at drivers door handle and door lock below it.  Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that this car is a basic 49-52 Chevrolet sedanette.  The general body shape and rear side window matches up with Chev illustrations.  It sure isn't a Henry J.

The GM fastbacks from the years Gordie mentioned can look like a Henry J but the rear windshield gives it away as a Chevy/Pontiac/Olds or maybe even a Cadillac...

The Henry J would have a smaller heart shaped rear windshield.  Also, the one pictured has no "Darrin dip" in the fender line.   No "speed line" in the front fender.
