My Kaiser is fixed!! Mostly
« on: August 14, 2009, 08:45:07 PM »
I've been chasing a problem with my '51 stumbling and stalling for the last several weeks.  When I've been able to look at it, I just couldn't find the problem.  I can smell a strong odor of gasoline around it and the exhaust/intake manifold gasket was soaked with gas so I thought it was the carburetor.  Turns out it was a loose bolt for the two points wires in the distributor!!  I swear I checked it before, but after tightening the bolts, it runs great again!  Now it's off to some car shows in the area!!
