You can change any 6v positive ground to negative ground by switching the battery cables. The only thing to change is the amp meter wires so that the needle moves to the right when charging. Check the 5th St Garage for their tech tips. Randy Rundle is the man. I bought a '53 with this already done to it so it works fine. I don't know why someone would change to negative ground without going to 12v tho. I don't see the advantage but I'm not changing a thing until I can afford to upgrade to 12v. Good Luck!
