My Kaiser is also my first. Look forward to meeting you and seeing the car at Jackson - I'll be there tomorrow and Friday.

My car did not have a radio but the parts car did. I was able to salvage the bracket and speaker. Rather than repair the radio I bought this one from a club member. It obviously needs knobs. I took the paper tags off of the parts car radio and attached them to the radio I bought.

The parts car did not have an antenna and there are no holes in the fenders. I'm not exactly sure where an antenna would go and I'm not to anxious to drill holes in newly painted fenders. Given it is an AM radio I may not even put an antenna on it as I'm not sure what music selection you would have on AM.

I'll have to drop the voltage down to 6 v as well.

Probably when in was new Hank Williams was sing through the speaker.

When I got my car, I turned on the radio, and 50's Do Wop came out of the speaker. That's the local AM format. it was like a scene out of "Christine" (the movie about the haunted '57 Plymouth with a radio that lights up and  plays Do Wop right before killing people.)
