Cleaning Dash

I have a55 with a padded dash it has a dirty loo and U an sure it has been years since it was cleaned I don.t want to hure it but need to clean it What product should I use or should i just leave ir alone

The dash pad material used on the 54 and 55 Manhattans is slightly porous and doesn't lend itself well to cleaning. I would limit it to a wipe down with a damp cloth. Scrubbing will result in lighter patches when it dries...been there and done that!

Miles, be careful when "wiping" on the threads. The fibers are very fragile and can/will disappear easily with hard wiping. Had a KF member call me in tears over his. Once it's done...it's done!!!

Thanks Mike guess the best course of action is to enjoy it just the way it is glad I had the two of you as a source of good advice. the forum can be usefull after all. (lol)
