New here but not new to HJ's
« on: February 18, 2015, 07:01:24 PM »
I just joined this forum because i have 3 Henry J's, all 1951 no trunk. I've had them for about 20 years, one has 25816 original miles,  the other 2 are for parts one complete car the other an old race car with a fiberglas front end.  The 25816 car had a valve guide pop out (6 Cyl car). I have so many other projects i have just kept the j car build on the back burner, but i'd like to start to getting it back on the road. It is original light green with a dark green bottom, The bottom I assume it was a car lot repaint. it still has the alligator upholstry and perfect door panels I'm taking a few pictures of the inside and one outside shot, i'll post later.

Welcome.
Regarding the tutone scheme on your car, it may have been a factory-sanctioned, dealer applied paint job. I've seen pictures of others that color -

The third car in on the left is a HJ with that color schema.
I know a have a picture of another one somewhere but I can't find it.
