Great color. if I were in So Cal, I would buy it.   A couple of things:  The inner doors are painted white. It has a white top but why would the factory paint the doors white (inner) on a red body.  Does this maybe mean the whole car was a single white color at one time or am I missing something.   2.  The engine bay and floor pans look rust (perforation) free.  How refreshing!  That would cut down on a restoration right there.    3.  This would be a good one to use that drivetrain out of that a seller had on here about 4 months ago - Sam's car that had the supercharger robbed off it.

And what if it is a 1955?
No old cars owned.

I think this car was originally white over a light green. I'd be willing to bet that it was painted when put on display in the museum. Since it's rust free and probably a 55 (extremely low production) it's well worth the asking price. Too bad it's on the wrong coast!

Would the vin number tell if it is a 54or 55 ? The number is K2176037 . I assume the ID tag is on the firewall.

That sounds more like an engine number. Back in the day, it was common to register using it instead of the VIN.

Paint Code 462 would be Jade Green Lower and Signal Green Metallic Upper.
Here is a link to the Paint Chips
