Just back from my weekend of attending various car show/meets. On Friday, I attended the Midwest Willys Reunion in Hudson, OH where they had about 100 people and somewhere around 30 Jeeps and Willys/Kaiser Jeep built vehicles. There were quite a few CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B, and M38A1 Jeeps, as well as station wagons, pickups and a very nice Jeep Surrey. In the mix as well was a mid-60s Kaiser 2 1/2 ton 6x6 wrecker that two guys drove from western Ohio...brave souls!
Saturday morning found me at the KF Midwest Meet in Shipshewana, IN. There were 18 KF products represented, including a 53 2dr Deluxe, a 53 4dr Deluxe, and a 53 Deluxe Traveler. Very rare to have three Deluxe models represented at one show. About 70 people attended the Saturday evening dinner (it was delicious) at a local restaurant that's usually only open for breakfast and lunch.
I'll post some pix from the Willys show soon.
At the KF business meeting, we reminded folks about the fall meet in Louisville, KY, and the national meet in July in Gettysburg...register now for both! In addition, we talked about the spring 2016 Midwest meet and a location was chosen for it - see my Monthly President's Message entry for more about that. And, there will be a fall Seaway meet - check the bulletin for dates and a location.
