1951 Frazer for sale ...

This is the one that was purchased at an auction last fall for around $40,000  if I remember correctly. Then offered for sale on Hemmings Site for $75,000.  I don't remember if it sold but I'm pretty sure it did not.

These statements from the seller are confusing!  Weren't the first six Frazer convertibles supposed to have been built with standard shift and the rest were Hydramatics?  Also Henry Kaiser would have never had a Frazer for his personal car when there were Kaiser convertibles available.

Gordie, I'm a little confused too. First let me state this is not a criticism of the quality or condition of the car, it is just an observation.  I see an overdrive relay on the firewall in the engine compartment photo - it also appears to have a clutch pedal in one photo of the dash.  That's inconsistent with having a Hydramatic as the ad states. I think the earlier ads (and they may have been the same) also listed it as having a Hydramatic. I don't know what that's all about. It does look nice though.

It states it's one of the last 4 door convertible production cars made in America but Lincoln produced four door convertibles through the late 60's.
