52 Virginian coupe

Need some advise , i bought this 52 Virginian Deluxe Club Coupe and have about $700 in it .   I put it in the registry ,it's the only portland built one in there out of ten cars listed and i think a pretty rare color combo , Ceramic green with Cape Verde roof ?   Anyway the car is mostly complete and i have some nos Virginian scripts,hood ornament etc for it but the car needs an entire floorpan and inner and outer rocker panels . I am considering parting it out since it would be a huge job to restore . What would you save off the car that is unique to a club coupe ? other than the continental kit ?

Check the parts book for club-coupe specific items.  A lot of the 2-door coupe items are the same as a regular 2-door sedan but there are some unique items.

I would try to sell the whole car rather than try to part it out. As you said, it's a rare car and is worth saving intact.

Believe it or not it spent the past thirty years in a garage . I may try to sell the whole car but i just have a bill of sale so that makes a hard to sell car even harder . I can get one but it's a three year wait here in washington.   You have to like green but think of how stunning this car was when new !

If you look on page 252 of the " Last Onslaught on Detroit"  there is a beautiful two tone green Manhattan coupe so you can get an idea how nice this coupe could be restored.  Nice coupes were rare when new and few nice ones are left. If you look in Hemmings there are Georgia titles available by mail order for around $100.

Thankyou , i knew i had seen this green somewhere forgot it was in that book car looks nice . If i could find a doner car for the floorpan and rockers i might tackle this ,that would save a lot of time .

Rocker panels and floor pans are available from an outfit in Michigan and they advertise regularly on eBay.  One of Kaiser Bill's post shows how to do it correctly.

Thanks for the information , if i restore the car i will attempt to find an original floorpan maybe from a four door. The parts book shows they are the same but says rocker panels are different between a 2dr and a 4dr . Has anyone ever tried to modify a 4dr rocker and fit it on a 2dr ?

How unusual is it to have the outer wings accessory on the REAR bumper, like this car displays?   Seems I continually find them on front bumpers but I can't recall any on the rear.

Someone installed a front bumper on the rear of that car. The rear used bumper guards only.

How can that be a front bumper when the guard position and the stamped holes to mount to the braces are eleven inches wider for the rear bumper than the mounting of the front bumper?

Looking again, it is a rear bumper that was shared between the Traveler and the Virginians with the continental kit. The wings are from a front bumper and were not originally used on the rear. Drilling mount holes is easy to do.
